So my son's tooth fell out yesterday! I first noticed his crooked loose tooth about a week and a half ago and I was like such a kid about it! I jumped up and down and it was only till then that my son was just as excited.
So fast forward to yesterday, he was eating and he ran to me with his tooth in his hand! He almost swallowed it... luckily it fell in between his gums and bottom lip.
It was the cutest little tooth I ever seen. Right before we went to bed, I sewed a small felt pocket into his pillow and placed the tooth in a small tooth shaped container we received at a party a few years ago.
He fell asleep and I knew being the wild sleeper he is, that dollar bill would fall under the bed.
Yesterday night, after he fell asleep, my husband and I started watching a movie. While watching, I made a quick tooth fairy pouch to put a dollar bill in and a small note. It didn't take too long. I used embroidery floss and a large needle. I didn't have any velcro on me, so I sewed a button closure instead.
I also typed out a note from the tooth fairy and rolled it up into a small scroll.
My son woke up rather early to show me what the tooth fairy left him for his first tooth! I think my son is more excited about the tooth fairy than Santa Claus! :)
Here's a quick tutorial on how I made it:
